Wild Wedding Weekend!

Kevin and I returned late last night from our friend Sandy's wedding in Phoenix. The wedding was awesome. We got to hang out with Amanda and Mike on Friday night and take in the Laker game at the local bar- Kev was stoked. He was a little less excited at our close to $500 bar tab. I guess ordering rounds of shots for people can add up quickly. Sandy and Tim joined us later in the evening, as did Erica, Jeff and some of the other guests from out of town. It was a blast!
Saturday started off with a bit of a nail crisis. I had procrastinated getting a manicure and pedicure for the wedding, thinking I could get it done in the hotel spa on Saturday morning. Wrong! All of the hotel spas in the area were completely booked. I had to quickly buy some polish and slap in on my toes so I wasn't too hideous at the rehearsal. Around noon was a speedy wedding rehearsal and lunch nearby. My bossiness led me to help coordinate the walk through at the rehearsal, but I think in the end it was a good thing. After the rehearsal lunch I finally got my toes done up by Sandy's place and then we all headed over to Scott's to see his new baby Roric. We had a barbecue in the Scott's backyard. It was like old times with all of Kevin's friends hanging out.

I spent the night with the baby and I must say, Roric is the most calm baby I have ever met. He just hung out with me all night, had a bottle, and fell asleep nuzzled under my chin. I was in heaven!
Sunday was the big day. It started off with hair and make-up at a cute salon near ASU.

Afterward we spent a few hours taking pictures around downtown Phoenix.
Once we got back to the wedding-site I did everything I could to put Sandy at ease and help
her relax.
Finally, the big moment arrived.

Sandy looked amazing!

It was a beautiful ceremony and there were more than a few tears- except from Tim... he held up pretty well.
The reception was a blast. There were many whispers of how amazing Sandy looked as she circled the room greeting people. My toast went well, except for my violently shaking hands.
Kev and I got to meet up with our parents this weekend during the festivities as an added bonus. Both of our parents were active participants in the festivities, dancing and gettin down!

We danced all night long with the peak of the night being the loss my voice from singing Bon Jovi at the top of my lungs.

All in all, it was a great time. We are a bit tired from getting in late but we are toughin it out.

It was a great time, wasn't it. So good to see your parents (and your mom looked spectacular!). Can't wait for the 20th.
