Go Yankees!

We took the fifth grade on their yearly Yankee Stadium trip for a tour of the stadium (no game). This event is the kickoff to our end of year "Senior Activities"- named for the fact that fifth grade is the last grade in the school. This year's Yankee Stadium trip was special for a few reasons...
1) This is the last year to visit the original Yankee Stadium
2) They put our names on the scoreboard
3) We were allowed in the locker room!
4) We got to see try-outs for new players.
This will be one of my favorite memories from this year.

Next up... the bodies exhibit to close our human body unit and a presentation by a Holocaust survivor to finish off our social studies unit.
