The Moments that Make it Worth it...

I was conducting a read-aloud today with my class when one of my students went off on a bit of a tangent. She shared that she had had a dream last night where I came to school and told everyone I was leaving and I moved. She said everyone was crying. My class erupted and started freaking out, "Are you leaving?!? "You can't leave!" "We don't want to go to middle school, we love you!" It made it all worth it.
