Quentin's 10th and 11th Months

Ok, ok. There are no excuses. I just didn't get around to publishing the pictures and videos of Quentin's 10th month. I am just going to say I was spending all of my time immersed in my son and my husband and basking in the glow of a truly amazing life and it just didn't get done. (Can't be mad at that excuse can you? :) ) I am going to split this blog into two parts to clearly separate Quentin's 10th and 11th months. After he turns 1 I will probably only post the BIG developments and go back to blogging about the things we do as a family. In retrospect I am so glad I have documented each month of his changes since the first year has gone so quickly.

Quentin's 10th Month...

This was a busy month. We went on a hike, went to Disneyland with Jessica, Keith, and Averie, spent my first Mother's Day at home with my boys, spent Memorial Day with Molly, Mo, Lauren, and Kyle, and I was able to spend lots of time with Q while working from home.

Quentin had a few new developments...
1) learned to play peek-a-boo by himself

2) learned to open the baby gate
3) learned how to work his more complicated toys

4) graduated from baby foods to big boy foods
5) began experimenting with walking

Quentin's 11th Month

This was a very busy month for us. We pretty much spent the whole month painting, packing, prepping the house for our move, and moving. Let's just say we are in love with our new house. We also got to spend a week up north visiting Tricia, Cory, and Logan right after he was born. It has been tough for Tricia but she has been AMAZING!!! Logan is still in the NICU but he is gaining weight and has been off his monitors for weeks. I wish we lived closer so I could see them more.

Quentin had a very eventful 11th month with a lot of firsts. He...

1) took his first steps
2) became a cousin when his Aunt Tink and Uncle Cory welcomed Logan William Anderson.
3) is learning to problem solve independently

4) went to a concert in the park with both grandparents
5) spent his first Father's Day with daddy
6) went to his first Dodger game vs. the Yankees
7) had his first Dodger dog (yes, this needed it's own recognition)
8) moved to his new house with his big backyard and lots of room to play
9) understands the words "clap", "wave", "arms up", and "no" (nothing other than word prompts I swear)

10) began walking

11) spent his first 4th of July with both grandparents and LOVED the watermelon
12) possibly said his first word, "kitty." It is up for debate. He says it whenever he sees a cat or anything else that is furry, including stuffed animals, bunnies, and dogs (tried but failed in uploading video)
13) turns the pages of his books when we are reading
