Summer is winding down!

I haven't posted anything in a while and there is really no good reason for it. The fact of the matter is that reading about the life of someone who has been living like a hermit in her apartment for the past three weeks, re-writing curriculums, preparing for the upcoming school year, and watching the Olympics til the wee hours (Go USA!!!) is just not exciting at all. There is just nothing to share with you and to be honest, I can't remember the last time I didn't do much for a few days and I have really enjoyed it. Don't get me wrong, I am still working at home, but the fact that I am in my home for more than a few hours is a fete within itself.
I was having trouble deciding what I could share with you about what I have been up to. I wouldn't even think about posting about the teaching books I have been reading (4 and counting) or the curriculum work I have been doing because I do not want to bore you. I decided to create and share a Top 10 list (Letterman style) I made about some of my favorite summer Olympics moment. I am just giddy with glee that this is what I get to post about because I haven't been doing anything and it is fantastic!

Top 10 Olympic Moments: (P.S. These are only events I watched)
1. Michael Phelps 100 Butterfly (won by his fingernails!)
2. Misty May-Treanor and Kerri Walsh Win Gold! (6 feet of sunshine in the rain and sick!)
3. Nastia Liukin and Shawn Johnson- Gold and Silver in Women's All-around
4.USA- Men 4x100 Relay (Jason Lesak is the man!)
5. Opening Ceremony
6. USA- Men's Beach Volleyball Gold
7. Shawn Johnson Gold on beam
8. USA Women's Soccor Gold
9.The Redeem Team- U.S. Men's Basketball team showing the world that they aren't the stuck-up conceited team that they were in 2004- they are dedicated, confidant, and team players this time around.
10. Dana Torres- Watching the sportsmanship of Dana Torres in her final Olympic race, holding the race so another swimmer could fix her suit, congratulating everyone in every race. That's class!

P.S. I am very upset about the fact that the Chinese Gymnastics team forged girls' papers to get them into the competition when they were underage. I hope my belief in karma pulls through in this case. I feel that this is one of the many ways that the girl's gymnastics team was cheated because they got MUCH lower scores on some events than they should have.

Favorite Commercials from the Olympics:
1. Target (Kevin and I almost have the dance down!)

2. Cingular- Milky Minutes (It's not that funny but something about the mom cracks me up)

Oh. What will I do without the Olympics?
